Active 4Life! Y-Sail Series
The Active 4Life! Y-Sail Series is an excellent introduction to sailing small boats safely and confidently in a short time. Courses are successive so you can sail all season while continuing to learn and refine skills. Beginner to advanced courses run days, evenings, and weekends! Instructors are Canadian Yachting Association certified and can award CYA Learn to Sail Levels. Programs have a strong basis in Physical Literacy and are in line with Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD). Have FUN while you learn new skills!
The Y-Sail Series (Intro, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced & Learn to Race) introduces new and emerging sailors of all ages to sailing in an environment that focuses on Fun and Safety. The 4.2m long, 420 Dinghy, is a double-handed (two person) sailboat with two sails and an optional trapeze and spinnaker. It provides more experienced sailors with the chance to learn advanced sailing techniques, while remaining fun and user-friendly for beginners. The 420 Dinghy provides the perfect opportunity to develop teamwork skills while gaining confidence and experience on the water. Students will learn seamanship, safety, and boat handling skills.
Adults Learn to Sail Programs
Want to learn to sail or spend more time on the water but don’t have the time or energy to commit to a lengthy sailing course? Unleash the salty, sassy, scurvy sailor within and join Red Sky Outdoor Experiences for a Learn to Sail program that is tailored for the over-extended adult! Before you can say “International Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19th” you’ll have the skills to take your friends and family sailing! Complete adult schedule.
